"I purchased the Current Griddle to replace my Black Stove Griddle. I wanted a griddle that cooks evenly across the griddle and does not need a propane tank. The current griddle has met all my expectations except one. I love the ability to set a specific temperature, although it would be nice if there was a suggested temperature setting chart. I love how even the temperature is across the griddle. My only complaint is the time to heat up. I do own a 10kw induction cooktop that boils water in 2 minutes, so I may have unrealistic expectations. We feed our dogs fresh real food, so I have used it twice a day since getting it. I have cooked ground beef, eggs, cabbage, and chicken breasts. Everything has been perfect and cleanup is a breeze."
"We received the unit in a timely fashion, It was straightforward as far as putting it together (appreciated the ratcheting screwdriver) We get our electricity from an array in our yard, we heat and cool with solar, we have an EV, electric mowers and were just waiting for the right electric griddle. We have already used it for dinner and breakfast on the deck. Works as expected."

"our griddle finally arrived. and it was not damaged like the first griddle was. was a little expensive. but well worth the wait. the only thing was I was promised a free item for all the trouble that we had with our first griddle that came delivered to us very damaged. I actually chose a spatula. But never got the spatula."
"Overall, I’ve been pretty happy with the grill. The biggest advantage for me is the convenience of having an electric grill. There’s no propane to deal with, and it heats up fairly quickly. The food results have also been very good, and for an electric grill, I’ve been impressed with the overall cooking performance. The grill itself is very well designed. I really like the control panel—it’s clean, simple, and intuitive. The materials and overall construction also feel thoughtfully designed. The drip tray is another highlight: it’s a good size, easy to access, and makes cleanup much easier. There are, however, a few things I think could be improved. The biggest issue I’ve noticed is heat retention during colder or windy weather. It can be more difficult to maintain the desired temperature in those conditions. I also don’t love the caster setup. I think the grill would be much more stable with two large wheels and fixed legs rather than casters, especially when you’re scraping the grates or putting some pressure on the grill during cooking. The side shelves could also be larger, and I think a front shelf would be a very useful addition for additional prep space. The app is probably the weakest part of the overall experience. It feels more like an afterthought, and honestly, I rarely use it. There’s a lot of potential there, especially with features like the seasoning function. The automatic seasoning button is a great idea and makes the process much easier, but I think it would be even better if the app actually walked you through the seasoning process step-by-step, including notifications or instructions telling you when to apply oil during the burn-in process. One thing I definitely want to mention is customer service. My experience with Current Backyard customer service has been excellent so far, which is becoming increasingly rare and is something I really appreciate. Overall, I think this is a very good electric grill with a lot going for it. The convenience, cooking performance, thoughtful design, excellent control panel, and easy-to-use drip tray are all strong positives. If Current Backyard improves the app, stability, cold-weather heat retention, and adds a little more workspace, I think it could be an even better product."
