How hot does the Current® Model P+ Electric Pizza Oven get?

The Model P+ tops out at 850°F. That’s the temperature range professional pizzaiolos use for Neapolitan-style pies with leopard spotting on the cornicione. Both the dome and the cordierite floor reach that range, so you get char on top and crisp on the bottom in the same 120-second bake.

How long does the Model P+ take to preheat?

About 15 minutes from cold to a full 850°F, which makes it realistic for a weeknight pizza and not just a weekend project. Lower-temp modes like Bake, Frozen, and Thin Crust preheat faster than that.

Will the Model P+ make Neapolitan-style pizza with leopard spotting on the crust?

Yes. The combination of an 850°F chamber, a thick cordierite stone, and an independently controlled dome element is what produces that classic blistered cornicione. The Neapolitan preset already has the time and temperature dialed in. You just slide the pizza in.

Can the Model P+ be used indoors and outdoors?

Yes. The P+ is one of the few electric pizza ovens designed for both. There’s no flame, no gas, and no smoke beyond what your toppings naturally produce, so it’s at home on a kitchen counter. It’s also rated for outdoor use, so a patio or covered backyard outlet works just as well.

Does the Model P+ cook evenly, or do I have to keep rotating the pizza?

The cordierite stone distributes floor heat edge-to-edge and the dome elements are zoned to avoid cold corners. Most users don’t need to rotate at all on the Neapolitan, New York, or Thin Crust modes. For thicker pies like Detroit, a half-bake quarter-turn helps even the cheese caramelization.

Can the Model P+ bake bread, focaccia, or other foods besides pizza?

Definitely. Bake mode handles focaccia, flatbreads, cookies, casseroles, and roasted vegetables. Sear mode runs hot enough for cast-iron steaks and smashburgers. Broil mode finishes fish, melts cheese, and blisters peppers. The eight modes are why the P+ earns its place on the counter, not just the patio.
